The San Marcos library does a toddler story time once a week, and I decided I wanted to take the boys to it. Parker's mom and dad were a ok, so off we went! The boys were great in the truck ride over. Mason loves looking at trucks and I think Parker was just not sure what to think. We got to the library and somehow got all three kids inside and the first thing the boys tried to do was run off. They saw all the aisles and wanted to run. We got them into the kid section where they had these cute tables and the boys sat down long enough for me to get a few pictures. The library has a room specifically for story time. The lady came out ringing a cow bell and we were led into the room. The first thing we did was make a circle with everyone and sing a song. Parker loved it and he jumped along. Mason was kinda shy and stayed right next to me. When the lady was ready to read we all sat down and listened. Again, the entire time Parker was clapping and talking all at the right moments-it was too funny! Mason was shy, just not his day I suppose. After each story we would sing some songs, and the boys liked that. The last part of storytime is playtime, where they get out blocks, puzzles, balls, etc. It was definately catered to 2 and under :)
Storytime was over, and we thought we would get a book off the shelf anf just sit and read to the boys. Yeah, that didn't work. We just packed up and headed out. Mama was hungry so we stopped at Chick-fil-a on the way home. Boys did great there, ate all their nuggets and finished their milk. By then it was nap time, so we came home where both boys crashed out!
It was a fun outting and the boys enjoyed themselves. If I get the chance to take them again-I will! Of course, I must admit I had help in the form of my nanny Lauren and her friend that came by.
Here are the few pics I got-enjoy!!

Working from home....
Ok, so I really love working from home. My stress level right now is very low and I love not having to wear dress clothes everyday. With that said, I can hear the kiddos now and I will admit I am a little distracted. I want to go out and play with them and see what they are doing but I know I can't. What do I do instead? I blog!!!

Birthday Weekend
This past weekend was my birthday weekend. On Friday we went to dinner with the kiddos and Mason helped me eat a peach cobbler a la mode. Well, Mason let me get a few bites in. That kid loves ice cream! On Saturday my family came over and watched the kids so Robert and I could go to lunch w/out the kiddos. My friend Lauren met us for lunch and its always great to see her. She keeps me informed of the latest gossip :) On Sunday Robert took Mason to the pool while I stayed home and made dinner. For those of you w/out kids, this is a treat! Beinig able to get stuff done w/out your toddler there is a blessing!
Mason did make me a great birthday card, he traced his hands on the card and colored it-I am surely keeping this!
Overall it was a great weekend-another birthday has gone bye bye :)

4th of July
We decided to give the fireworks show a try. Mason did great!! He loved the fireworks and kept saying "more" the entire show. Afterwords, we hit some major traffic in Kyle-who knew! We thought we would be smart and try to cut through a neighborhood but we just got confused and it took us just as long to find our way out of the neighborhood. Oh well, the kids were passed out anyway and we made it home eventually :)
