Oh Mason

Ok, my kiddo is really funny. Last week he had a bad diaper rash so we decided to keep him home so we could air him out. Yup, he peed AND pooped on his bedroom floor all within 5 minutes of each other! Poor Robert had to clean it all up. Mason just looked at us and laughed.

Mason's been really fussy this week and has started to wake up in the middle of the night. We have many guesses as to why-is he teething? is he still hungry? We really don;t know so we are just hoping this phase passes soon so Mason can get some much needed rest. (for mom and dad too)

Mason continues to take a few steps at a time, but won't quite take off yet. He thinks its a game to walk to you and then as he gets closer he just lunges. Its quite funny, he laughs at himself and does it again.

We have a playdate scheduled this weekend with one of his buddies from school, Parker. It should be fun!!

Busy Weekend

Mason and I had a busy weekend. Saturday we went to my friends house so I could get my hair done. Mason had a blast pulling the books off my friends shelf and reading "German" - thanks Edna for letting him have fun. That night we went to Wally World where we got one of those bike trailer things. We, well Robert installed it on his bike and we gave it a go. I think Mason liked it. On Sunday Masoon and I went to church and then that afternoon we had a play date with Garrett and Lee. The boys had fun playing and swimming. I think Mason just likes to go to different places, he is stir crazy like his mama! Needless to say he was exhausted Sunday night. He slept until 7am this morning and I had to wake him for school :)
Have a great week everyone.

First Word!

Ok, I am convinced Mason said his first word on Sunday. He said "OK". I kinda brushed it off at first, but he said it 2 more times! That counts, right?? Robert says his first word was "da-da", but thats not a word, thats him babbling :)

We had our last swim lesson last night. Mason did really well, he has the whole kicking thing down. It was fun, but kinda glad its over. Now its time to plan the 1st b-day party!

Sick

I am home sick today. I had to get off the couch for just a bit. I hate being sick. It means I'll have to play catch up this weekend :(
Oh well-that's why we have PTO....

Oh Mason

Mason loves to explore. When we get home there is no stopping, he is all over my house. Lately he has learned to play peek a boo. He has this bouncer thing, we really don't put him in it anymore unless I need him to be still for a second. Its by the fireplace. Mason loves to crawl around it and try to get to the fireplace. The other day, he was trying to play with the fireplace curtain when I called his name. I was trying to distract him. He heard me call his name and peeked around the bouncer thing. He saw me looking at him, laughed, and hid behind the bouncer thing. He did it a few more times! It was the funniest thing. I laughed so hard that day.

Yesterday I watched Mason and his daddy play peek a boo. Daddy was using a towel over his head, calling Mason, and would then pull the towel down so Mason could see him. Mason laughed so hard about that. It was the cutest thing, watching him laugh like that w/ his daddy.

This is our last week of swim lessons. I am excited to say Mason learned alot over the last few weeks. I am kinda glad the lessons are almost over, but am so happy I did them. I think Robert is too, although he won't say it. He enjoyed doing "motor boat" with Mason in the pool :)

Watermelon Thump

This past weekend, I took Mason to his first parade, the Luling Watermelon Thump. My friend Lauren came with me since Robert had to work. Mason hung in there like a champ, and enjoyed looking at everything. He is such a curious baby. I think he had fun, but he was worn out!
The parade was long, almost 90 minutes! It had about 30 queens-I don't remember that many queens in parades when I was growing up. When I was growing up we had like 2 queens...
There was also a marching band from San Antonio, they were an older group, 50s and such, and they were marching away. They had majorettes and color guard and the whole 9 yards, it was awesome! At the end they had a sign they read-100% recycled marching band. I had to take a picture :)
Later on that day we went over to our friend Jeff/Trish's neighborhood for fajitas and swimming. The food was good (thanks Jeff!) and the boys played hard. Mason and his buddy Garrett were crawling around and pulling up on everything that would stand still. They even shared a yummy dinner of green beans/rice and guacamole. After the pool we went over to their house and the boys had a good ole time crawling over each other. Too funny!
I have to say it was a great Saturday for the Sully family :)

I am starting to figure this out...

Ok, so I have figured out how to add pics-that college education is paying off. haha!

I found out today at Mason's school they are moving him up in about 2 weeks. Part of me is excited for him-new friends, new adventures. But the other part of me is like NO NO NO! He is not ready, he is still my little baby. I say this, but the little guy is so mobile, I can't leave him alone for a second or he will be climbing on something not safe.

I am really looking forward to July 7-thats when we start Mason's swim lessons! More info on that later...

The first blog

Hi All!
Not that I needed another item to keep up with, but how hard can blogging be?? Besides, I can update this at work, whereas facebook is blocked :)
Everything is great with the Sullivan family. Mason is a crawling fool and loves to climb on anything/everything that will stand still!
We hope all of you enjoy the blog and the updated pics of our little guy :)
Love
