Autumn and K - Polo

Same polo game. Autumn and K are best buds at school and are always together. At the polo game last weekend, they had a blast playing and watching the horses.
I do love that Autumn has her own friends separate from Mason. She is my miss independent.

Mason turns 4!

Mason on his birthday. We had a fabulous day and a great party for him, which I will blog about soon.
Mason, one day when you read this I hope you know that as crazy as things can get, my love for you will never stop. Whoever you become, I will always remember you this little. You were my first little miracle.

T-Ball

We decided to give a team sport a try. Mason loves watching baseball with his dad, so we are trying out Wee Ball (T-Ball). There are four teams. All are Gators but each is a separate color.

These pictures are from his first practice about a week and a half ago. Here is what I have gathered in the few practices we have attended:
*Mason loves to field the ball. He will hustle to any part of the field to retrive the ball. He has made a few good catches and seems to be getting the hang of this.
*He is also a runner (gets that from his dad) and does really well running the bases. He knows where to go and doesn't have to be told anymore.
*Batting, well, that is a work in progress :)

Our first game was scheduled for today but was rained out. First game will be next weekend.
Go Orange Gators!!

Swim Lessons 2012

We did our annual swim lessons back in June. A little behind I know. Mason would not do a thing the first day, but on day 2 he gave it a try and had a blast. Autumn also took a day or two to warm up. As always, glad we did this as both kiddos enjoyed the water all summer.

Day Camp w/Miss Amy

Kids have been participating in Amy's summer camp for the past two weeks. I think its pretty obvious from the pictures that so far its a success :)

And then it was over......

I will not lie. It seems like yesterday Mason attended his old daycare and we met Lauren. Autumn was not even a thought yet. I remember how great Lauren seemed, but honestly I didn't know then. We knew we wanted something else, so our nanny share adventure began. Who would of known that 3 months into it the other family would back out. Lauren stayed with us anyway, and my children grew to love her. Last year when my co-worker had her baby and we knew Mason needed to be in big boy school, we needed another family. This time they grew to love her like we did.
Two years flew by. I guess I knew they always would, but I did not know how hard it would hit me. Mentally I have always known this would be about the time she would be ready to move on and go back to school. I am so proud of her and I know this is right for her, but it's still hard. Today was her last day. She moves back to Houston tomorrow to start her next chapter.
I will never forget how she would step up and help us whenever we needed her, not one complaint. I will never forget how my children learned so much from her and always felt her love. I will never forget how much patience she had and how she helped me learn some too. I will never forget how my children would ask for her on the weekends, becoming sad when I said it was Saturday and Lauren was off. I will never forget how excited they got when she would get to my house and the day was getting started. I will never forget how Autumn or Mason would run to her with open arms, knowing they were safe with her. I will never forget always feeling like my kids were safe. They were.
I will never forget Lauren. We will never forget Lauren. She is a part of this family. We love her.
Best of luck to the best thing that God graced us with.

Let the lake fun begin for 2012!

Its official! Summer is pretty much here in Texas! Well, not quite but time on the lake is. We had our first family outting on the boat this weekend for 2012. We cruzed fast, which both kids love, ate lunch on the boat and even tried a little fishing. While we did not get in the water (still a little cold) and no fish were caught, we all had a nice afternoon. The fishing pole was thrown in the water (Autumn) and caught in some reeds (mommy) but by a miracle we still took it home!
We finished the day eating a late lunch at Donn's BBQ - east side! I will be the first to confess, it was yummy!
Looking forward to more lake time this season!! Next on the list, letting Mason try out the innertube. Oh my!
Autumn's new life vest! Much better :)

I love this little man! Life vest - check!

Just a fishin'

My turn daddy!

There were ducks in the water - gotta watch them!
