Playdate

A few days ago, Maile came over and played with us for a bit. Mason loves playing with Maile. He is even a gentlemen and walks her home.
It was again a beautiful day and we enjoyed several hours outside.

Boys Day Out

I let Robert and Mason go visit his friend DJ for a few hours. This was a few weeks back. According to Robert, Mason had a blast! He even got to ride around on the big red tractor.
That night as I tucked Mason into bed, I asked him who would be over tomorrow to play with him. Mason answered "DJ." I think Mason had fun with his "Uncle DJ."

Grillin' Time!

This past weekend was beautiful! On Sunday, we grilled outside and played in the backyard for hours. Grandma Sherry came over to hang out and we had a great day!

Sesame Street Live

This past Saturday, we took Mason and Autumn to Sesame Street Live - Elmo's Healthy Heros. Our good friends Phillip, Kat and Lee joined us. We were seated in the first section, row 4. Right up close to the stage. Mason watches Sesame Street daily so he seemed to recognize all the characters. It was neat to be in this section because all the characters would walk by and say hi to the kids. We were at the edge of the row so all the characters walked right by us. Robert told me that while I was out w/Autumn, Abby came by and gave Mason a high five!
The show started at 5:30, which is when Mason usually eats dinner. Mason finished all of the popcorn Phillip bought - thanks PJ!
Overall, I think Mason liked it. He sat for all of it and seemed to be interested. Autumn even seemed interested too, as she stood on my lap for a big chunk of the show and was all smiles and chatty. The kids were tired and Autumn quickly fell asleep in the car on the way back home.

We did make a pit stop at Chick Fil A (mom and dad were hungry). Mason did play some with another little boy, and by the time we got home Mason was very tired and went to sleep quickly. It was a wonderful day!!

V-Day

Happy Valentine's Day 2011!

Mason did wear a red shirt later on that day, but it was a lightining mcqueen shirt. Mommy knows better than that!

Beautiful Day for a Picnic

Last weekend was beautiful! We spent several hours in the afternoon just playing in our backyard. So much fun! We had a picnic lunch outside because we did not want to go back inside.

Mason enjoying his riding horse.

Mommy and Autumn enjoying the sun.

Superbowl Excitement

Watching the superbowl is exhausting!!!

Nothing Fancy

We were not doing anything fancy. Just hanging out and watching the superbowl, and having a great time together.

Snow

Today, Feb 4, it snowed. We didn't get alot, but here where we live it counts! The roads were icy so Robert stayed home and we ventured out to check out the snow. This was miss Autumn's first time to see snow and Mason's second. Mason did not like it last year in Dallas but seemed to really like it this year. Robert had a heck of a time getting him to come inside.

Potty Training-or not??

Potty training. Yeah Mason is not acting completely ready for it. However, we thought maybe we could just do the big boy underwear at night-get him used to it. We did this a few nights, sans plastic wear, and after a few accidents mommy was tired of cleaning up pee. So out came the plastic wear! Mason at first would not wear them, but after Blues Clues was on the line, he agreed. Why are they on the outside you say?? Easy. Ask the daddy.

Sunday Funday

This past Sunday, we went over to Kat and Phillip's for the first ever "Sunday Funday." It was a very large playdate and potluck style. Mason and Autumn had lots of friends over. Lee, Garrett, Grace, Andrew, Parker, Joseph, Sam and Lilly were all in attendance-whew! It was a busy backyard-thank goodness the weather was beautiful.

Autumn and Lilly share a toy.
Dirt!
And more dirt!

Not sure what Autumn is doing here....

Just a swingin'

Playdate w/Grandma and Grandpa

This past Saturday, my parents came into town and spent the day with me and the kids. We had lunch at Texas Roadhouse where Mason got a spiderman balloon hat, and then headed over to the Austin Children's Museum. It was a fun place and we all had a great time.

Autumn loves to walk when you hold her hands, and she had a willing participant.

Mason played here for a bit. He would send his ball down and some other kids would pick them up. Hence no balls for Mason. No worries, grandma looked out for him and Mason soon had plenty of balls to play with.
