4th of July 2011

This year 4th of July was super fun. Our city still did the fireworks, so people from all over central Texas came down for the festivities. It was busy but very worth it. We arrived about an hour before the fireworks and it was already packed. We found a spot and just hung out until the fireworks started. Both kiddos did great! They both sat still and watched the show. Well, Mason kinda sat still but that's normal.
Afterwards we high-tailed it out of there and hit very little traffic. We didn't get lost this year!

Such a cute halter top ~ I could not resist!

Sunday Pool Fun

The Sunday after Saturday Awesome Day, Reagan and his dad came over to play in the pool. The boys played really well together ~ just one mishap.  Overall it was a great day in the pool!

Saturday Awesome Day ~ June

I am so far behind!! Well, to start off we had our "Saturday Awesome Day" in June at the Farr's house. I didn't take as many pictures because my 15 month old decided to get back in the pool fully clothed and took several nose dives into the sandbox. So I was busy chasing her around :)
Autumn has a great tan, and during this playdate she got her new nickname: Navajo. There is indian on my side and she got the easily tan gene. Our friend Matt was joking to the Farr's that if they get corn growing in the back they know who to thank. It was a fun day and the kids were up late ~ we didn't leave until close to 10!

Our cousins came to town

Our cousins were here this weekend, and I think it was a great weekend. We did several Texas attractions, such as Schlitterbahn and Rudy's BBQ, downtown Austin and Casa Garcia's. All the kids were really good (for a bunch of 2 year olds!) and there really wasn't much fighting. It was great!
Katie and Karly are Mason and Autumn's second cousins. Tina and I are cousins on our mothers side (our moms are sisters). Tina and I had our 7th (or maybe 8th?) birthday party together as we are just 3 weeks apart. Mason and the girls are about 2 months apart. I didn't get to see Tina very much at all growing up as we were always moving around. I am glad Tina and them came down-I had so much fun with her and the girls. (and Donald too :) I hope as the kids get a little bigger we can do this again! Robert and I might have to try a trip to the east coast soon!
Yes, I did a bathtub picture.

The girls will use these in New Jersey! Hook 'em!

Austin Children's Museum

On Saturday, we all met my parents for lunch and then went to the Austin children's museum. Its just an indoor playground, but they have educational play areas that help build skills and such. It was too hot for another outdoor activity. All the kids loved it, and by the time we left were exhausted.
Autumn loved this slide

Schlitterbahn

This weekend my cousin Tina and her family came for a visit. They live in New Jersey and decided to spend a weekend in Texas with us. We made plans to go to Schlitterbahn on Friday. This was a good idea. It was hot and it was a great place for us to spend a day to cool off. Katie and Karly are 2 months older than Mason, so they spent the day playing together on the slides and in the pool.
We did venture out and visit the pirate ship and submarine, but the majority of our day was in this pool. The kids were so comfortable with the slides and depth, plus it was not crowded at all. It also allowed moms and dads to relax a little too.
What a great day to spend in Texas heat and with family :)
Ready to get in the water!

Autumn loved this pool. She could walk around all on her own.

Go Karly Go!
